For the past several years we have been developing the blueprint to enable SMEs in developing countries to launch into global e-commerce at scale.
Equipping international organizations & their beneficiaries with the knowledge to navigate international e-commerce.
Supporting businesses individually in setting up their online presence, including competitive analysis, pricing, store design & listing optimization.
Helping SMEs develop market-entry strategies using our proven e-commerce exports playbook focusing on international payments & logistics
A flagship initiative of e-traid gmbh is the eBay Discoveries Hub Central Asia, delivered in partnership with the International Trade Centre (U.N.). Through this program, we have trained over 500 small businesses across the region. As a result, 83 entrepreneurs launched online stores on eBay US, and 53 have successfully exported their products to buyers in 35 countries—generating over $140,000 in international sales. Participants gained hands-on experience in analyzing product demand, setting up international payment systems, organizing cross-border logistics, and optimizing product listings for maximum online visibility.
In 2024, e-traid gmbh facilitated a B2B e-commerce accelerator program on behalf of Nextrade Group, funded by USAID. One of the 20 participating businesses was Hemdem Rugs, based in Turkmenistan—a country with limited access to global markets. Over a 6-month training period, we supported Hemdem Rugs in launching and managing their own fully transactional online store targeting international buyers. To enable cross-border sales, we established a U.S.-based company for them via Stripe Atlas, allowing them to accept payments through Stripe. We also implemented a competitive logistics solution using air freight via Turkey at $20/kg, with delivery to the U.S. in just 10 days. To date, Hemdem Rugs has successfully sold 9 rugs, generating over $10,000 in international sales.
Founded in 2020, e-traid gmbh specializes in empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to expand globally through e-commerce. With a strong track record of impact, we have trained over 800 small businesses and successfully launched an online presence for 250 sellers.
Operating across 15 countries on 3 continents, we have worked on projects funded by leading donors including the EU, World Bank, USAID, and UKAID.
